Our story begins in 1999 when our engineer first started building brush mowers and learning SolidWorks, a 3D drawing software. Similar to CAD but much more detailed/in depth. With the integrated 3D capabilities, it changed the way engineers designed. While being the newest and leading edge in the engineering software it was much more difficult to operate.

Determined, he began teaching himself how to work the newest software. Having not gone to school for SolidWorks, he had to do what we all do when learning a new skill; trial and error. He was 100% self-taught and determined to be the best. Every day he learned something new. Applying his skills as a welder, machinist, and knowledge of the industry, he began to create new concepts and ideas that revolutionized the industry. Bringing stronger, lighter, safer and more efficient attachments to the brush mower industry. Other brush mower companies started to use these designs and some are still being used to this very day! Who knows, you could already be using one of his designs and don’t even know it!

In 2007, some companies began using cheaper materials to build their mowers. He did not believe in this and argued with them the dangers of using lesser grade products and materials. When they refused to listen, he decided there needed to be a change in industry standards, where quality was not compromised for profit.

In 2008, he started a business that completely manufactured skid steer and excavator flail and rotary brush mowers for other companies to rebrand as their own. He did this with the help of family and friends. They all came from different industry backgrounds – mechanics, welders, machinists, and some new to the OEM Manufacturing industry. Eager to learn, they applied their unique skills to help build some of the best in the industry attachments. They all have a large amount of pride built into each attachment. To this day, every member of the Reaper team puts 110% of themselves into their work. They have a passion to build and share the best attachments and to be the best in the industry, even when others took credit for their hard work.

Now skip to 2019, when the Covid Pandemic hit. The companies that rebranded our equipment suddenly halted all orders for the upcoming year. In that moment, the entire team pulled together and within a month Reaper Attachments was born. Instead of manufacturing attachments to be rebranded as someone else’s – Cody, with the help of his team, redesigned all of the attachments and created some new ideas and started selling them to the public.

While Reaper Attachments may only be a few years old on paper, the man and team that started it all has been around for a couple of decades.

Today, Reaper Attachments has a team (Family) that continues to grow. Where each member plays a key role in the manufacturing of our products. We all take pride in what we do and are excited to share that.
